  ROCHESTER A.B.O.V.E. (Rochester Africans Between Oceans with Visions for Empowerment) is a non-profit organization based in Rochester, NY and was established in January 2005. ROCHESTER A.B.O.V.E. received Not-For-Profit status on January 10, 2006


The purpose of establishing this organization is to build unity, pride, and self-esteem among African-Americans living in Rochester and Western New York, by means of cultural education and awareness and to foster a sense of cultural unity among all people of African origin.      

 


  Our Mission is to be a recognized leader in the community for implementing successful and strategic methods of spiritual, economic and social empowerment and ultimately making a positive impact in the lives of our people and community as a whole.
