11:00am-9:00pm-Genese Valley Park-Entertainment, Food, African Drum and Dance, Arts n’ Crafts, Inflatable Playcenter, Pony Rides, Vendors, Education, Information...fun for everyone! Free Admission.

Sat-August 8th  "RBBC Love 'N' Gospel Fest"

Rochester Bible Baptist Church will host this 15th Annual event in the Grand Avenue
Park. There will be free hotdogs, soft drinks, popcorn and popsicles.  Live musice from
various local and regional gospel choirs, groups and soloist.  Encouraging words from
Community Leaders. Free prize give-aways, free gently Used Clothing giveaway. 
Games and activities for all.  Community Service Agency vendors sharing information
and resources.  A family celebration aimed at demonstrating the Love of God in the
community and hope.

The OldTimers will be hosting their annual picnic on 8/8/09 from 1pm-10pm at Genesee Valley Park.  There will be live entertainment, Dance Contest, Raffles, Food and much more!

Fri/Sat-August 21st & 22nd  "Sankofa Music, Dance and Arts Festival"

Kicking off the Friday night theme of "An Evening of Theater & Jazz",
there will be 3 One-act Plays held, Jazz Performances and Refreshments.
The location to be announced, advance tickets will be on sale at Mood Makers
Books in February.  Saturday is the second day of the Sankofa Festival.
"Bringing the Community Together to Remember and Honor our Heritage and
History" is the theme of this annual celebration.  Featuring a Marketplace of Vendors,
 Drumming, Libation, Music, Dance Troupes, Beauty/Health/Wellness Square, Food,
 Children's Activities, The Civil Rights Bus and much more.  NO FEE FOR SAT.
